The 2007 Online Bingo Oscars

It's Bingo Awards time for the online bingo industry. The yearly awards, sponsored by Which Bingo, are billed as the 'Online Bingo Oscars.

This is the fifth year of the bingo Oscars and in addition, the site is also running its Second Annual Online Bingo site of the Year. This contest allows players to vote for the online bingo site of the year. The player has a selection of twenty-six sites to review and can vote for the one that she thinks is best. Each player is allowed one vote. Last year, Mecca Bingo won the coveted award. In addition, there is a new entry this year - the UK New Online Bingo Site of the Year award. Another category is the UK Bingo Site of the Year.

The site must offer bingo is GB sterling in order to qualify for the award. For new online bingo sites in the UK, there is the UK New Bingo Site of the Year. The emphasis of the awards is on the United Kingdom because that is the fastest growing online bingo market. The contests allow online bingo players to select the sites in each category which they feel are best.

The purpose of the awards is to reward excellence in the online bingo industry. The awards carry quite a bit of weight in the industry since it is the actual users of the sites that are making the selections. Voting takes place throughout the month and the votes will be tabulated on December 31. The winning sites will be announced in January 2008.
