Gala Bingo In-house Bingo Caller Competition vs National Caller Competition

Last week we reported that the national Bingo Caller of the Year Competition is starting its run up. In the meantime there is a Gala Bingo in-house caller competition already under way. The regional heats of the Gala bingo competition have already been completed and the final is to be held in Birmingham in June.

The fact is that Gala Bingo doesn't really publicize their competition while the National does and it appears that they a missing out on a lot of good publicity.

The problem with the Gala Bingo competition is that it discourages callers to enter for the National competition while Mecca bingo encourages its callers to enter. The National is seeing less Gala callers entering as many Gala callers would rather simply enter the in-house competition. This does not enable them to obtain the kind of exposure they would enjoy from the national competition.

Bearing in mind that the National Bingo caller competition will have beaten more than six hundred callers as well as won a £500 prize and trip to the US for them and a partner, and the Gala in-house competition means you have beaten one hundred and sixty callers and won £500, I would rather use the Gala in-house as a warm up and then enter the Nationals too.
